In the past two years, our AI nationwide conferences specifically for high school students have had more than 700+ participants across Canada. It had a resounding impact and raised more awareness among youth about AI and reported by CBC, CTV.

Dr. Frank Wood is associate professor of computer science at the University of British Columbia and a Canada CIFAR AI Chair at the Mila Institute. He is a co-founder of Inverted AI, a commercial research lab specializing in machine learning and probabilistic programming for real-world applications. Before joining UBC in 2018 Frank was associate professor at Oxford University’s Department of Engineering Science and assistant professor of statistics at Columbia University.

Dr. Cindy Gordon is the CEO of SalesChoice, an award winning AI SaaS company specializing in Ending Revenue Uncertainty and Sales Inefficiencies. She is a well published thought leader/author with 13 books in the market, and a 14th being released shortly called The AI Split: A Perfect World or a Perfect Storm. She has had prior senior executive leadership roles at Accenture, Xerox, and Citicorp, and is a former Venture Capitalist as well.

Passionate about democratizing technology access for everyone and working on projects with outsized impact on the world, Zoe is a Product Manager for AI and IoT working on a variety of interdisciplinary business and engineering problems. Prior to Intel, she was a data science researcher for a particle accelerator at Arizona State University, where she analyzed electron beam dynamics of novel x-ray lasers that were used for crystallography, quantum materials and bioimaging.

Bruke Kifle is a computer scientist and product leader passionate about the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, business, ethics and society. He is a socio-technologist motivated by the ability to improve human conditions in low-resource environments through technology. Currently a Product Manager at Microsoft, Bruke received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science from MIT, with a concentration in AI.

Quinn is an entrepreneur, global health researcher, and author. He is the former Co-Founder and Director of Global Business Development for ADVIN, a health-tech company he helped scale across Bangladesh and India, growing the team to more than 20 and serving more than 150,000 patients, during his second and third year at the University of Toronto. Quinn currently serves as CEO of Animo.a privacy-first platform built to help organizations predict their psychological well-being though use of A.I.

Saqib is a co-founder at Resemble, working on creating custom AI voices that capture human emotion. Saqib previously worked at Pantera Capital, Passport Capital, and Contrarian Capital. Saqib founded Tokenherd - a management platform for crypto funds and Splashtees, that provided custom screen printing products to Universities. Saqib graduated from McMaster University with a degree in commerce.

Most recently, she worked as the Chief Data Strategist at Goldspot, a mining analytics startup in Toronto. While she specializes in data value creation, she has expanded her experience to innovation, venture funding, data governance, and strategy. In her spare time, Sarah teaches advanced mathematics classes and was Deputy Leader for Math Team Canada.

Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and founding team member - NDAX.io Julia is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) with senior legal and compliance expertise. She is IIROC certified and oversees the overall audit and compliance strategy to ensure Know Your Customers (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AMC) activities are properly implemented.

Eric Santor Eric Santor was appointed Advisor to the Governor on Digitalization effective March 11, 2019. In this role, he leads the Bank’s digitalization work, including research into the impact of digitalization on the economy and financial system. Mr. Santor also leads the initiative to incorporate technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning as well as big data into the Bank’s operations. This involves leveraging programs such as Partnerships in Innovation and Technology

Excited by almost anything to do with data, Shounak is always keen to uncover insights from Big — and small — data. Exploring applications ranging from medical diagnostics to educational intelligence, he enjoys discovering how analytics can make our lives more efficient and just better. Shounak has received accolades for his research on improving the diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, such as the Youth Can Innovate Award, and was selected as one of eight representatives on Team Canada-ISEF.

Brendon Matusch is an incoming freshman at Stanford University. He has been researching subjects related to machine learning for several years, and has presented his work at events including Intel ISEF and Nvidia GTC. He has interned at SNOLAB applying machine learning to dark matter detection, and at the Vector Institute researching unsupervised exploration in reinforcement learning. He also has experience programming robots and autonomous vehicles,and participated in FIRST Robotics Competition

Azmain Abrer is a recently graduated high school student and technology entrepreneur who is also the Founder & CEO of Popular, an AI-driven market intelligence software company. At Popular, Azmain and his team are currently building a system that analyzes people’s thoughts, opinions, and emotions on the internet to help businesses predict changes in market and consumer behavior.
